Best aspects of my stay were the lovely people I met and the sense of community at this hostel. the owner and volunteers were exceptional hosts, always willing to share food and stories, and even giving me a free ride to the bus station. the home-like atmosphere made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I also enjoyed the outdoor patio and the opportunity to relax and socialize with other guests. the location was perfect, with just a short walk to Jonker Street and other attractions in the area.
The hostel showed some wear and tear, with rooms and common areas being a bit rundown. There was also a faint smell that bothered me at times, but it wasn't a major issue.

The room was spacious and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. There was a balcony where I could enjoy the view. The location was great as it was only a 5-minute walk to the center and there was a fantastic food court just across the street. I also loved the fact that I could borrow bicycles for free and explore the city at my own pace. having a kitchen available for free use was a convenient bonus.
That the room could have used a bit of refurbishment. It seemed a bit dated and in need of some updates.

the location was fantastic, with plenty of food options just across the street and popular tourist attractions like the old town and the red house just a short walk away. the owner of the homestay was a delightful and friendly man who also runs a bar along the river. He provided excellent service and offered reasonable prices. What I loved most about my stay was that everything I needed was provided for free, including towels and laundry services. the homestay even had a lovely tea and coffee table with delicious cookies. Highly recommended!

Great value! Our room had a big and comfy queen bed, large towels, a nice bathroom, a small balcony, free drinking water. The tables, good wifi connection, good AC, and hairdryer were a pleasant surprise. The community kitchen with free snacks and laundry was a bonus. The helpful staff, especially Michelle and Noeime, made our stay enjoyable. The owners' other establishments were also fantastic, with happy hour prices at the Reggae by the River Pub. The location was convenient to explore the riverfront, museums, Chinatown, and Jonker Street. Highly recommended!

I had a great time at this homestay. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was really comfortable. The location was convenient, with famous spots within walking distance, and there was even a superb food night market just in front. The staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay.
The breakfast offerings could be improved, maybe by adding more variety or options.

I got great value for my money at this hotel. The room was cozy, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The location was perfect, close to everything but still quiet at night. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home.
The only thing that could make the breakfast better would be if they had a wider variety of bread for toasting.
